Georgia Rookstool’s journey began in 2012 when her college roommate invited her to attend her yoga class. She casually agreed to go and support her roommate since she was the instructor. Throughout high school and college Georgia stayed physically active biking, running, and playing volleyball, and had not considered yoga for physical fitness. However, her roommate assured her that it would be challenging and that she would become “hooked.” “Hooked” was not the initial feeling Georgia had 30 minutes into the 105-degree heated class. Sick, frustrated, angry, confused, hot and drenched in sweat was a more accurate description of the emotions towards the yoga experience. However, within minutes of walking out of the studio, Georgia noticed her body feeling something that it had never felt before…clean, healthy, and just overall great! She left feeling as if she had just conquered something great! It was both a physical and mental extreme. Georgia started taking classes regularly, and sure enough, she became “hooked.” Within 9 months, Georgia decided to enroll for a 200 Hour Teacher Certification as well as additional training in Yoga Sculpt.
Since finishing her training, Georgia has had the opportunity to teach in several yoga studios and fitness clubs. One of her favorite opportunities has been being on staff with the University of Missouri Athletics Department. At Mizzou, she had the privilege of teaching the Football, Olympic Sports, Tennis, Track, and Wrestling teams. (Go Tigers!) Georgia currently focus on teaching private, one-on-one classes with individuals just starting out, or those who are looking to take their practice to the next level. Georgia is passionate about helping individuals grow in their yoga practice in both private and group classes!
Kristi began practicing yoga in 2008. She started out with practicing only twice a week, but after learning that on days when she did yoga she felt good, she began to practice even more. Kristi immersed herself in yoga taking classes and exploring how she felt with even more yoga.
Kristi's teacher training has been with Max Strom and Jamie Elmer. She has also had the joy of learning from Amy Ippoliti, Desiree Rumbaugh, Annie Carpenter and many other.
Good Life Yoga and Tea is a culmination of her tea and yoga studies. She has learned how tea can help the body as much as yoga does and has learned how to marry the two together to further enhance her meditation practice. Kristi is excited to bring this knowledge to her hometown community.
Emily's yoga journey began as a tool for increasing strength and flexibility and shortening recovery time for marathons but has since turned into a way of life. She believes emphatically and knows through personal experience that the practice of yoga can push boundaries within every person. Through physical conditioning, proper diet, and expanded knowledge of the self, one can heal the mind and soul and begin to correct the habitual karma that holds us back throughout our lives. Emily is a Yoga Alliance Certified instructor. She is also part of Chakra Science - a visual music expression of mediation and movement.
